Homages Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt ready to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can at last express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared archival material from the film, commenting that he cannot recall "any day without joy".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a distinct essay, legendary director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles court official agreed to bar the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the local authorities.

A legal directive issued a embargo on the investigation to limit the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a record citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

Following the killings, public figures shared varying comments.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering controversial claims that were widely condemned by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the detractors recently. Speaking on his podcast, Rogan labeled the remarks as "shocking" and suggested they showed a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan finished by proposing that an associate should have stepped in when the impulse to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
