Loyal followers of the actress are calling for that a individual who breached a barricade and touched the celebrity during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or removed from Singapore.
A widely shared clip shows the Australian man bypassing media personnel and charging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.
Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being escorted out of the premiere by guards.
Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers showed that he was scheduled to attend court on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.
This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account contains recordings of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last December.
"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," commented an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.
"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user remarked.
Many followers criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming hundreds.
"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said another message on Instagram.
A number of attendees also faulted guards at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while others requested online networks to remove Mr Wen's videos.
In videos circulating online, Grande appeared shocked when she was approached by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.
Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.
Hundreds of supporters had congregated in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore mall, including a number who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it started.
The film, to be premiered on 21 November, is the second of a two-part interpretation of the well-known stage production Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely relationship between two very different characters.
The musical itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a light pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.
They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.
The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of last year in the UK, and scored ten Oscar nominations, earning two for best costume and production design.
